I’m looking for a new mp3 player (right now I have a Zen V Plus) that has great to outstanding sound quality, long battery life, is reasonably priced, and “nice looking.” I’m looking for an 8 GB to 16 GB and would prefer to stay away from Ipod but hey who knows. So what would you reccomend?

The Best MP3 Players in the Market

Paul John Collins asked:

Have you been living under a rock these past couple of years? Or are you too stingy when it comes to some things, take gadgets, for example? If you are interested in getting yourself a new MP3 player yet have the misconception that MP3 players are still very expensive, then here is a comprehensive guide that you can use to help you get a better idea about he best MP3 players out in the market today.

Apple iPods: definitely the most popular type of MP3 players around, the line of Apple iPods that are now available in the market have definitely become more sophisticated, and even more affordable compared to previous models. Take for example the Apple iPod Nano which used to be very popular because of its sleekness, just a couple of years after its successful launch, the Apple iPod Nano has already went through some upgrades and is now the very cute and compact, Apple iPod Nano video, which is available with either 4gig or 8gig of memory. It is also comparatively cheaper than the first generation of Apple iPod Nano, which makes it a great buy for anyone who wants to get their hands on a cool MP3 player.

Creative Lab MP3 players: for those who want more bang for their buck, then Creative Lab’s cool lineup of MP3 players is definitely something worth checking out. While these may not be as slick and stylish like the usual Apple iPods, Creative Lab is able to make up for it through functionality.

Is there any way to put iTunes movies and TV shows onto other MP3 Players?

Posted by admin | Music & Music Players | Tuesday 2 November 2010 10:37 pm
Thomas M asked:

I’ve been debating on getting a new MP3 player that plays video. Most of these that I have found are much cheaper than the iPod Nano.

However, I would like to use iTunes-related media.

So, my question is this:
Can I download a TV show or movie off from iTunes store and play it on another MP3 player (ex: SanDisk) with little or no hassle?

Thanks for your time.

Which of these three mp3 players is the best?

R’ nway asked:

I’ve been looking for a new mp3 player, and I’ve narrowed it down to three contenders.

8GB SanDisk Sansa e280 (Flash Memory) ~$159
8GB Creative Zen Microphoto (Hard Drive) ~$169
8GB Creative Zen V Plus (Flash Memory) ~$169

Which of these would you recommend?
The main points I would like you to consider are user interface comfort, good scroll mechanism, and durability.

Right now, I’m leaning toward the Sansa e280. The reviews I’ve read of it seem to be the best.

However, someone mentioned that it only has 2 volume settings: normal and high.

Can anyone confirm or contradict that statement?

Thank you very much. Please feel free to answer just any part of this question that you can.
Based on comments here, and more research of my own, it seems that the volume in the settings menu is like the volume limit on the iPod. You set either a normal or a high max level, but it sounds like you can control the volume level the way you can on an iPod.

(By the way, I currently have a 2GB nano someone got me for a gift, but the size was too small and it didn’t handle subscription music. However, since I’ve been using that for a little while, I’m kind of a sucker for the scroll wheel as opposed to joystick or touch strip.)

What mp3 players do not require software?

Posted by admin | Music & Music Players | Monday 5 January 2009 10:16 pm
dennis1231 asked:

I am looking for recommendations for a new mp3 player that does not require software to transfer music. I do not want to use iTunes or Windows Media Player. I do not want to use playlists, rate my music, or any other functions. I do not want to use music with digital rights management. I simply want the mp3 player to be recognized by Windows as a hard drive so I can drag and drop my music to the player and then select the folder or track I want to play. My iRiver H320 is perfect but it is dying and needs to be replaced. Any ideas?
