Most people automatically assume that they are going to have to spend a big chunk of money when it comes to wanting quality entertainment. Because you can learn how to buy cheap mp3 player systems with little trouble, that simply is not the case.

The thing about these gadgets is that even though they are extremely popular, you can find yourself a cheap player to get you started. Of course, the cheap player is not going to be the system that holds the most amount of songs but for someone just starting out this is a good way to get started.

The cheap mp3 player can be found online through different web stores and even in some online auctions. You are probably going to want to make sure that you are going with something new instead of something used, in order to make sure that everything runs smoothly for you. This is just to make sure after a few days that your cheap player does not just end up in the garbage can. Being the new ones are so reasonable in price, there is no reason why you could not afford a brand new one.

The Difference Between Models

When you are buying a cheap mp3 player you have to take into consideration that it is not going to hold as much songs as the more expensive models. It is still something to be aware of, while this does not matter to a lot of people. But even with the cheap mp3 player you will still have plenty of room for all kinds of different songs. Even the low-end player will hold a couple hundred songs. You are going to have no choice but to go with a more expensive model if you are the type of person that insists on being able to store thousands upon thousands of songs.

Also, there is the big thing with the brand name, which has a lot to do with the price tag that is put on the cheap mp3 player. So you will have to expect that your top of the line models is not going to be the cheapest in price. You are going to get more of an off brand player more then likely with the cheap player, but it will still work just as good. There really is no difference in the quality of the mp3 player when it comes to the cheap ones.

Upgrading Your Stock Earbuds With The Best Headphones For Your Mp3 Player

Douglas Taylor asked:

The invention of the mp3 player has changed the way we listen to music. Never before have you been able to take your music with you as easily as you can with a small portable mp3 player. These wonderful gadgets can be made even better with the proper accessories.

Because of the huge amount of popularity mp3 players have there has been many new accessories made available for your mp3 player. You can buy almost anything for your mp3 player from external speakers to fancy remote controls. Because of the competition these accessories can usually be found at a fair price and they will greatly add to the usefulness of your mp3 player.

The main thing the iPod and the other players are about is sound. This article will look at upgrading your stock earbuds to improve the sound of your player with the best headphones for your mp3 player.

The most important upgrade you can do for yourself is to purchase a set of quality earphones. The first time you put the better set on your head you will be overwhelmed at the difference in sound quality.

The earphones that come with your mp3 player may or may not be sufficient for your needs. Depending on how sensitive your ear is will depend on whether the stock earbuds are adequate. Some people cannot hear a lot of difference in stock earphones and the better aftermarket varieties. One thing is for sure; a lot of people will want to upgrade their headset for a better sounding pair.

The first thing to think about is how comfortable are your earbuds. If they are a hassle to wear you will not like them no matter how they sound. Look for a set of earbuds made with the foam that is soft and will expand. These seem top fit most peoples ear the best and do a great job of blocking out external sounds.

When you are deciding how good a sound you want out of your phones you need to remember generally the more you pay the better they will sound. You can get some pretty decent starter types of earbuds at your local department store.

The high-end models normally start at around a hundred dollars and go up from there. If you are a serious audiophile you will want to purchase a quality set that will run you a few hundred bucks. This will be a set of earphones that would satisfy the most demanding audio lover.

The portable mp3 player is here to stay and improving the sound with the best headphones for your mp3 player is usually the very first upgrade you should consider. You will be amazed at the results.

Do the Sansa or Zen:V mp3 players support song start times?

mrjondoh asked:

I currently have a dying ipod and I need to buy a mp3 new player. My favorite feature is that I can set the “start time” and “stop time” for an individual song in itunes, and the song will play according to that setting on my ipod. I can do the same with an equilizer setting, too.

I would like to buy an alternative mp3 player, but I cannot find information indicating whether other players offer these features. Can anyone tell me if the Sandisk sansas or Creative Zen:V series have this feature?

What You Need To Know About The Best Portable MP3 Players

Posted by admin | Technology | Wednesday 28 January 2009 2:02 am
Jim Johnson asked:

Portable mp3 players are taking the music world by storm. They offer convenience, portability, and ease of use, all in a small, feature rich package. There’s not much to not like about them. But mp3 player models are constantly changing. Therefore it’s a good idea to know what features are most important when you are trying to choose a portable mp3 player for your own use. Here are some tips to consider:

* Consider how you plan to use your mp3 player before buying it. Will you be using it on very long trips where you have no access to your computer song collection? If so, you may want to opt for a portable mp3 player that uses a hard drive to store songs as they can hold thousands of songs at a time and you can go for a long time without hearing the same song twice. In many cases you may be able to have your entire song collection on your mp3 player that way. However, most people will probably be using their portable mp3 player just for a few hours at a time on shorter trips. In that case a flash memory player should work just fine. They can usually handle 50- 75 songs at a time and that may be all you need.

* The best portable mp3 players also allow you to be able to upgrade the operating system of the unit whenever needed. This can be very important as the mp3 player equipment is changing constantly because it’s still a relatively new technology. So you want to be able to keep up as advancements are made, and newer file formats or compressions are introduced. Otherwise you could wind up with an obsolete player very quickly.

* Before you buy any portable mp3 player be sure that you personally physically inspect it. This is especially critical for smaller players as they can be so small and compact that some folks with larger hands have a difficult time operating the controls. You also want to be sure that the display will meet your needs too, as some players display more information at a time than others do, and some are more readable even in low light situations than others.

* The best portable mp3 players conserve power well too. This can be an important issue as you will most likely not have a permanent power source when you are on the go, so your battery is all you have to power the unit. Some players can go for days on a set of batteries and others can only go a few hours. So make sure that the player you choose will fit the way you intend to use it. Also be aware that some players use a battery that is rechargeable but also can’t be removed, and so must be sent back to the factory for an expensive battery replacement. The best portable mp3 players use batteries that are easy to find and change, such as AA or AAA batteries.

Since mp3 players are still fairly new to the marketplace, many people are not as familiar with them as other pieces of electronic equipment like CD players. So it’s good to understand what features are important in the best rated mp3 players in order to make the best choice. Hopefully, the tips above can help you make the best choice.

Why do they even sell mp3 players in the first place?

Posted by admin | Music & Music Players | Saturday 29 November 2008 2:39 am
John J asked:

Why are they selling mp3 players with built in rechargable batteries (USB port) IF the battery will worn out in the end (meaning you no longer can recharge it and will have to buy another mp3 player)? The only ones that have triple A batteries are the ones that only have 1 GB or less. Usually, if it’s 2 gbs or more, you are stuck with the stupid built in rechargable battery. WDF? What are these clowns thinking?
