Which of these three mp3 players is the best?
I’ve been looking for a new mp3 player, and I’ve narrowed it down to three contenders.
8GB SanDisk Sansa e280 (Flash Memory) ~$159
8GB Creative Zen Microphoto (Hard Drive) ~$169
8GB Creative Zen V Plus (Flash Memory) ~$169
Which of these would you recommend?
The main points I would like you to consider are user interface comfort, good scroll mechanism, and durability.
Right now, I’m leaning toward the Sansa e280. The reviews I’ve read of it seem to be the best.
However, someone mentioned that it only has 2 volume settings: normal and high.
Can anyone confirm or contradict that statement?
Thank you very much. Please feel free to answer just any part of this question that you can.
Based on comments here, and more research of my own, it seems that the volume in the settings menu is like the volume limit on the iPod. You set either a normal or a high max level, but it sounds like you can control the volume level the way you can on an iPod.
(By the way, I currently have a 2GB nano someone got me for a gift, but the size was too small and it didn’t handle subscription music. However, since I’ve been using that for a little while, I’m kind of a sucker for the scroll wheel as opposed to joystick or touch strip.)

The Sansa gets great reviews from most critics. My wife has the 2 gb and loves it. That is where I would go.

Go to download.com. You can do a side by side review with all 3 mp3 players. That way you can get the good with the bad and decide.
Personally I have a couple of Sansa Products and I like them. They are very durable. I have a little grandson who has personally tested their durabilty.
Good Luck
