Why do some mp3 players show 320KBPS mp3 files as if they were 128KBPS or 160KBPS?

I have a folder with some mp3 of 320KBPS which is shown in the folder details, but when I open those mp3 in windows media player or winamp they show 128 or 160kbps. Is that normal?
