I have a 30gb zune and there are a variety of car chargers available for it, but the main reason I want one is so I can listen to music through the car’s speakers. Do most car chargers for mp3 players let you do that?

I’ve been looking for a new mp3 player, and I’ve narrowed it down to three contenders.
8GB SanDisk Sansa e280 (Flash Memory) ~$159
8GB Creative Zen Microphoto (Hard Drive) ~$169
8GB Creative Zen V Plus (Flash Memory) ~$169
Which of these would you recommend?
The main points I would like you to consider are user interface comfort, good scroll mechanism, and durability.
Right now, I’m leaning toward the Sansa e280. The reviews I’ve read of it seem to be the best.
However, someone mentioned that it only has 2 volume settings: normal and high.
Can anyone confirm or contradict that statement?
Thank you very much. Please feel free to answer just any part of this question that you can.
Based on comments here, and more research of my own, it seems that the volume in the settings menu is like the volume limit on the iPod. You set either a normal or a high max level, but it sounds like you can control the volume level the way you can on an iPod.
(By the way, I currently have a 2GB nano someone got me for a gift, but the size was too small and it didn’t handle subscription music. However, since I’ve been using that for a little while, I’m kind of a sucker for the scroll wheel as opposed to joystick or touch strip.)

I need to get a Mac for my studio production work, since I want to pursue it as a career. I **** iPods with a passion, so what I’m asking is, are there any other MP3 players I can use to connect to a Mac besides iPods?

Does anyone have problems with their Sansa MP3 players?
Filed Under Music & Music Players | 1 Comment
My sister, best friend, and I all have the Sansa e280 MP3 Player and they all constantly freeze and get stuck in loops or glitches. My MP3 did it first (when we first got them) and i took it back and got another one. All 3 (4) do the same thing. They can get stuck for days, and I am just waiting for one of them to break completely. I’m suprised to find no complaints about similar problems on the internet. Has anyone else experienced problems?

MP3 players are the latest gadgets in the market making waves. Especially, liked by youngsters and working people, these tiny music players are a wonder to keep. Hundreds of iTunes can be loaded and played in a MP3 list. The good thing about a MP3 player is that you can easily categorize the music, make separate lists, shuffle them and enjoy the music for hours.
This simple and sleek, small strip sized player come in different variations. The most basic mp3 players would include a slot in which you can save hundreds of songs; play, stop and rewind buttons and a slot of voice recording. The design and color of this type of MP3 player would be plain and simple. The most common color of a simple MP3 player would be Black.
With new technology coming every day, MP3s’ too evolved. They grew from being simple audio player to complex multimedia device. Now they come with colorful displays and also play movies. Some of them can also record directly from TV or download and share content over Wi-FI.
Generally MP3 players can be categorized as flash memory players, hard disk players, and cellphone in-built MP3 players. All of these come with some of the most common features like volume limiter, a larger and wider display, video playback, controls like equalizer and FM radio tuner.
Much advanced MP3 players come in bright colors and have a greater storage space. You can also find MP3 players in top branded iPods. MP3 players found in iPods have much wider use and are also more popular than the simple ones. MP3 players in iPod have advantages of flashy and designer skins, Windows XP OR Professional platform, different music files like Wav, AIFF, and AAC. With the iPod features of video player and photograph watch, MP3 players get an added life.
Whichever MP3 player you take, do consider revising your checklist to buy a MP3 player. See to it that the weight of the MP3 is not too much, for all the good reasons extra bulk is not a good thing. Look out the headphone quality; after all you are buying MP3 to listen to music – if quality of sound is not good, there is no point in buying the MP3 player. Lastly, do check the battery consumption hours written in the fine print. The longer your MP3 player can run, the better you will enjoy the music!

A portable mp3 player makes it so easy to take your favorite songs with you almost anywhere that you want to go and under almost any conditions. Unlike CD players that have to read the digital music from a CD, mp3 players are much smaller and more compact. That’s because the data storage devices used are much smaller than CDs, so the players can be tucked into a pocket of your shirt or pants and be almost invisible as you listen. But there are already many models to choose from, so here are some top picks from examining online portable mp3 player reviews and customer feedback:
1. In the flash memory category, which is the smallest and lightest of mp3 players, almost everyone still favors the Apple Ipod Nano even though some other great players are starting to provide more competition. But Apple dominates in the mp3 player area and the Nano shows why. It has an impressive 2GB of memory which can hold around 500 songs. and is compatible with both Windows and Mac computers. The firmware is upgradeable which is also a plus to keep you up to date with the latest changes in the mp3 field, and has equalizer presets to help you adjust the sound to your liking. The display is especially good even in low light situations, so this model gets a solid pick.
2. In the micro-drive player category the RCA Lyra is a fine choice with 5GB of file storage. It is also compatible with both Mac and Windows and has equalizer presets for customized sound. It’s display is not quite up to the Apple standards, but otherwise, it’s a solid, quality player.
3. As far as hard drive mp3 players are concerned the nod again has to go to Apple with the Apple Ipod. Apple totally dominates this category selling almost 90% of the high capacity hard drive mp3 players on the market. The Ipod has 30GB of storage space and that is enough to store the entire song collection of many people. It’s display is again very good in all conditions, is compatible with both Windows and Mac, and comes with equalizer presets for custom sound. It also has the ability to play video files as well, with excellent picture and sound quality.
As you can see from the above list Apple is still producing the best portable mp3 players, and that is certainly reflected in the high number of units already sold to very satisfied customers. Expect that in the months and years ahead more challengers will emerge with better and better quality and features to give Apple a good run for the money, but at the time of this writing, Apple is still the best overall bet as voiced by many portable mp3 player reviews and consumer feedback as well.
